Constellations
A situational representation process in which the person involved, with the help of selected participants, explores the emotional block caused by events that occurred within the family sphere. ‘Family’ refers not only to parents and relatives but also to ancestors. In some cases, it also includes all individuals within the sphere of influence of the person in question.
INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP SESSIONS
Systemic Family Constellations originated as group sessions.
The person who presents his/her situation chooses among the participants those who will represent one or more individuals or a specific aspect of the theme. The representatives in turn, receiving information perceived by the unconscious, activate the role requested by the participant himself/herself, giving a clear and transparent representation of the issue under examination.
At an individual level the same process can be facilitated using symbolic objects that act as representatives. Alternatively the facilitator acts on the subject leading him/her to visualize his/her situation internally.
